We believe the best conversations start with honest questions, not rehearsed answers. At Beyond Church, we create space for people to explore faith at their own pace without pressure or expectations.


Doubt is welcome here. Curiosity is celebrated. We trust that when people are given room to seek, God is faithful to meet them in the search.

Our Story

Where we came from

Beyond began in 2015 with a team of eight people and a simple idea: create a church that people who don't go to church would actually love to be part of.


Most people in our area have little or no church background. So rather than start one more church that looked like all the others, we set out to build something different, for our community, in our community.


The name says a lot about us. "Beyond" is about going beyond the idea most people have of church. And it's a reminder that church is far more than an hour in a building once a week. It's something you carry into your everyday life.


What makes Beyond Different


  •  Built for people new to church. No insider language, no assumed knowledge.
  • 60-minute services. Always. We value your time.
  • We meet in a school, not a church building.
  • The biggest community events in Griffin. Easter Jam and Jingle Jam aren't church services, they're for the whole neighbourhood.
  • We're FOR our community. We partner with local schools, businesses, and families.
  • Everyone's welcome. Wherever you're at with faith, there's a place for you.

What We Believe

The short version

You don't need to sort out what you believe before you come. But if you're curious, here's the heart of it, in plain language:

  • God loves people. All of them. Including you, wherever you're at.
  • Jesus is at the centre. We believe that following Jesus will make your life better, and make you better at life.
  • The Bible is our guide. We take it seriously, and we work hard to make it make sense for everyday life.
  • Grace, not performance. You don't have to earn your way in or clean yourself up first. That's the whole point.
  • Faith is a journey. Nobody has it all figured out. We're all taking our next step together.
